The Haunted House Poem by Duncan Stephen

The Haunted House

Rating: 4.0

Parents away, witches and black cats come out to play
Invite friends, party arranged
Time for some fun, let the party begin
Keys for rooms in centre of hall, twelve in all
Rooms all taken, friends in high spirits, retire for the night

Time for food, pumpkin stew, toasted marshmallows
Friends settle down for the night
Pipes rattling, doors slamming, floorboards creaking
Witches screaming, black cats screeching
Isn't fun at thi party

Remember witches and black cats come out to play
Guests screaming scurrying shouting for help
Running down stairs in panic asking whats going on
Remember witches and black cats come out to play! !
