The Heart Game Poem by Osvaldo Govea

The Heart Game

Rating: 5.0

So there's this girl,
And she kinda has my heart.
She simply stole it,
And promised to never break it apart.
I told her I couldn't live without one.
So she gave me hers.
I took care of it,
I did the best I could.
But it wasn't good enough.
I had to tell her,
I knew I should.
Confess that I had broken her heart,
But she told me that she already knew.
With tears on her face,
She gave me back mine,
She said don't worry,
I'll be fine.
All I need,
Is some time.
She turned around,
And walked away.
Now I wait for her,
Day by Day...............

I wonder, this exchange of hearts business is very well there in West too. There are hundreds of lyrics in our Indian cinema expressing same thoughts. Oh! Whole world thinkis the same way; especially in love matters....I too wrote GUILLOTINE, ATONEMENT etc. on this subject/concept. Very nice read. Your expressions have the needed mellowed flow for this kind of poem...very good.....10

Aah this one is really sad. Sadly once the trust is gone, she might never give it back to you.
