The Heart Is Never Empty Poem by Nudershada Cabanes

The Heart Is Never Empty

Rating: 5.0

The heart is never empty
It is always full like a cup
Brimming with joy and happiness
And sometimes with sorrow and sadness
But never with emptiness
For the heart is a well
It is a spring
Where all feelings keep flowing

(continued) ...to me, joy and happiness are (almost) identical, as are sorrow and sadness, BUT I LIKE the emphasis each pair of words makes for the poem, AND i really like (upon second reading) your usage of '-ness, -ness, -ness! ! ! at first i did NOT like the heart-cup analogy, as a cup may also easily be empty, and probably usually is empty rather than full. but after reading again, i liked the analogy as well! ! ! bri :)

i would not readily rush to read a poem with this title. i had left myself a note to read another of your poems, and i said to myself: go to her second page of titles and read the 'second from the bottom (title) '. so i DID. i like it. my feelings, when i have any, flow through my spleen and liver; they, the feelings, have to be cleaned up before reaching my heart (if they, the feelings, can FIND a heart) .
