The Heart & Mind Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Heart & Mind

The heart & mind
Tuesday,8th June 2021

Rules of mind
never finds a proper place
the heart doesn't accept
the mind reacts with a hostile attitude

the mind wants to rule
the heart doesn't want to become a fool
mind wants control
the heart wants to prevent fall

arrogance must prevail
and avail
the indomitable position
the heart wants no haste and confusion

it must have a fine-tuning
with no burning desire inside
only sacrificial approach with a view to prevail
and fail evil design

the mind must stop venturing
if the heart is not assuring
the smooth functioning
and unnecessarily questioning

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The combination of the heart and mind is always opposite and mind orders us to do the things. An evocative poem, Hasmukh jee. Padma, Hyderabad, Jun 12,2021

There's always a tussle between a heart and a mind like two opponents of a game. And it's expressed well. Lovely poem, sir. Sangeeta Das, Delhi, Jun 12,2021
