The Heavy Drinker Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Heavy Drinker

Rating: 5.0

Eyes big bloodshot
And bulging
Cheeks begin
To cave in
Just an accident
In the mind
Weak and wobbly
An ugly
Blob of flesh

Thin man
Shadow of self
Hang yourself
From the clothesline
It's bleak
Hard to speak
Breath so foul
Emerges from the mouth
The tongue
For living it has no taste!
