The Hell Embraced Sky Poem by Daya Nandan

The Hell Embraced Sky

There is this hurt in me that is beginning to burn,
And this path in my heart taking a wrong turn,
That sharp pain, more painful than the sharpest knife,
That bitter pain that makes me wanna end my life,

Death this pain gives with its sting so bitter,
Dreams and hopes for it to shatter,
Soon it will be me this evil will destroy,
So much worse than the falling of Troy,

Less cruel will it be whipping me with a chain,
Than me feeling this sharp...sharp pain,
Painful it is my beating heart now shattered and broken,
By actions so careless and words unspoken,

Cant you see it? This twisting hurt in my eye,
More and more do i want to curl up and die,
Hurting my heart shall be, more pain each night,
Like pouring kerosene on a man and the fire you ignite,

Day by day it is my heart this hurt will consume,
Slowly and steadily building me a tomb,
Eats me this pain both my blood and soul inside,
It’s painful sting i can barely hide,

As i die inside none hear my silent screams,
Shouting for salvation even in dreams,
Drains my sanity this pain so dark,
As i am dying slowly the hounds of hell bark,

They hear where i am at my last breaths,
Slow and painful that path to death,
Wicked and atrocious is it this evil pain, ,
As its blackness waits for my life to drain,

This moment of fear and sorrow never meant to be,
The beginning of black skies in my destiny,
Look closely and carefully in this bleeding eye,
Lies here the pain of the hell embraced sky,

If you could understand me and take a walk in my shoe,
You too will ask yourself “what have i ever done to you? ‘
Pain to me that this cruel world loves to send,
These bleeding wounds that time can never mend,

Kill me it shall this abyss of pain and hurt,
And below i will be covered 6 feet with dirt,
Demons they will be those that descend,
And a last word to the world i bid, my own life i end.
