The Hole In My Heart Poem by Tui Jameson

The Hole In My Heart

Rating: 4.3

The shimmering glow
of a rising sun
can conquer the darkest nights
It fills the emptiness of space
except for the hole in my heart

My life has been good
I have walked with light
and raced with darkness

I've felt love and joy
Hate and anger
excitement and surprise
fear and pain

But still I am missing something.
There is an emptiness in my heart.
Where light can not touch
where darkness can not grasps.

A hole in my heart
Where something is meant to sit
Where something is meant to stay

But Alas it is empty
nothing seems to fit
nothing seems to stay

I am missing the picture
for my finished puzzle
No matter where I search
up high or down low
I cannot see the picture

I don't know
what to look for.
I just want
learn more.

Can anyone help?
Can anyone see
the picture to my empty heart?
Will anyone help me?

There is an emptiness in my heart
an hole so deep
I don't know where to start.
When this void won't let me sleep.

I'm missing something
can anyone see?
This picture of my heart
is the one thing I need.
