Wake up the world!
To hear the cries
of the lonley daughter
late at night
Her tears fall to the ground
as she trembles in fright
Wake up the World
and hear the moans
of the dieing
soilders bones.
A death will cause
tears to fall
hope to be lost
darkness to grow tall
Wake up the world!
and find the daughter
hiding in the shadows
so far from home
Millions echo
this little girls cries
Hoping for peace
Hoping for life
Where is the light
that comferted the daughters?
Where is the light
that feed the hungered?
Wake up the World!
to see the sight
of you neighbors suffering
thoughout the night
Help them
find the light
that has taught us all
no to fight
Take a stand
to shorten the night
Take a stand
and raise a light
Wake up the world!
to lighten the way
and help them live
to see a better day
Where
the daughters will laugh
the fathers will cheer
and all will be better
with home so near.
But alas it is not soon
For darkness has conquered
and spelled out your doom
Wake up the World!
To help brake the chains
that hold them entrapped
And show them the light
that has always been in their sight.
Wake up the World!
And hear the song
of freedoms bell
ringing loud and strong
Oh Wake up World!
And sleep no more
Oh Wake up World
to save your old friends
from Darkness and despair
