The House Is Empty Poem by norman hale

The House Is Empty

The house is empty
There's no one home
They've split up
Left the house all alone

They've moved on
To the next chapter in life
As in old soap-operas
Nothing stays true in this life

They fell out of love
A long time ago
Now they must move along
Like any other show

Some fall in love
Way over thier heads
While others jump right in
Then to anothers bed

Love has its twists
As well it has its turns
And if you're not careful
Someone's going to get burned

Yes the house is empty
But the memories remain
If their minds wander back
The tears will fall like rain

So totally true to life, this is how love is - raw emotion. Honest portrayal of love. Another great poem Norman. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
