The Humble Lily, smiling white
Is so comforting and gives such a wonderful light;
As early as Man can ever recall
The Lily has made his problems seem small.
The green stalk, the white petals
Glistening like lustrous silver metals;
Waiting for little birds to rest
Underneath its widespread crest.
Even though the Lily is so beautiful,
So graceful, so charming and wonderful,
Its actions speak louder than its words
To tired bees and Humming birds.
It knows all, what it means
To mankind and its various dreams,
Providing them with its inspirational light;
The Humble Lily, with its silent might.
