The Illogicalness Of Life Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Illogicalness Of Life

In a moment of love
A few kisses
An ecstatic encounter
Conception
The womb of life awakened
Pulsating energies grow under the auspices of the unknown
As a bundle of joy is manufactured
It will take a few months
Under the oven of existence
To fully mature
Into a frolicking being
Fully equipped
To enter the realm of life
A new born
Laced with the unknown
Enters the realm of science, technology and unbridled ego
Against all odds, the spirit has been transformed into an organism
The moment of love is now manifested in human form
Groomed by the hands of science and selfishness
Ego is unintentionally procured through the copious transactions of life
A perimeter is constructed between the mind, body and spirit
Disbelief is erected
And the physical form is worshipped
Under the blazing light of education
The illogicalness of life is switched off
And logic takes over
I, Me, You becomes our mantra
Individualism is constructed
It would take a big leap of faith
To revisit the moment of love
And see the illogicalness of life again
And be awakened from the dream of life
To embrace the spirit
And be a lover
A moment of love reincarnated in human form
Love is the illogicalness of life

It is my honour my friend, sometimes poetry is just a meal to be devoured and other times poetry is a vehicle to carry us to places we have never imagined. Thank you very much.
