The Image Not Found - Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon
A friend of mine, more than twenty years later
A memory in life of one page we were together
A past in younger age not so longer as if reminder
A change of departure how could open the chapter
Re-connect world of search engine given
Sent me a message to check whether I am
In return, I was glad and replied soon
In return continued with his snap of new life
A beautiful wife with two children's' father
Still the appearance is the same having his smile
Asked about mine and may have hoped as so
In return, to reply him, I was late since to think more
A father of two and a picture of all in happy
Searched my album saved in a folder, though I knew
Difficult to find a unified one as we are together
But I'm living inside on one knows me as outsider
I must write him without a picture
My mind not allow though it's not nicer
New life feel nothing, wish not to send him
Re- connect friendship, how connect further
Topic(s) of this poem: absence, friendship
