The Imagined Visit (31/12/08)

Rating: 5.0

Most nights I stay awake
The phone might ring
Maybe a knock at my front door
Something relieving me of this misery
Maybe I will see your face appear before me
I would not be fearful
For with you
It is known to me only Joyous days
So If by chance you have time for me
Though busy you may be
Ask God permission
Pay me a visit
If only a call
If only a knock
If only in my dream

And when this wish you Grant to me
We’ll sit and talk
You sip coffee
I, Tea
We’ll remember days we had before
Memories that pictures hold
We’ll laugh
Cause we were always happy
And reminiscences will cause shared glee
We’ll Cry
Cause we would have to let go
Time will come for you to go
And again you will leave, like once before
But as for now I will be prepared
Prepared I will be to let you go

the person refered to as YOU, is it a person who has passed on and is in heaven?

'Down the way where the nights are gay And the sun shines daily on the mountain's top' Sang Harry Belafonte in his 'Jamaica Farewell'. Let's start from this enchanting natural set in this New Year Eve.
