The Inevitable Poem by Lauren Atkins

The Inevitable

Rating: 5.0

Waiting for you to lighten up my day
Hoping that maybe you will soon ask me
When i think about your crazy strange way
Of dealing with any problems you see

I smile, wishing for you to admit how
You feel about me, how it is the truth
You say you'd love me, forever and now
You say you'd protect me with nail and tooth

I don't understand, why you won't reveal
Your true feelings so i can do the same
My young weak heart is now yours to steal
Don't toy with me, it's no animal's game
