The Ingratitude - Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

Monkeys, birds and bears
Hanuman, Jatayu and Jambuwan
Fought with Rama
Against the evils of
Demon king Ravana,

Amazingly Rama and his brother
Were the only humans
Fought in the historical war
For the salvation of mankind,

Today, after many thousnad years
have you ever been shown any sense
Of gratitude towards
The said allies?
