The Island Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The Island

Rating: 4.0

In the middle of the water dark blue,
The land bright,
With palm trees,
Laden with coconuts light.

I wondered who this land was made for,
For you, for me, for them, for us.
This island didn't seem to know,
It's own beauty.

The coconut island,
Figured out,
What it was all about.
It was all about beauty.

I enjoyed this poem. It made me want to be on the island and crack open a few coconuts.
