The Isle Of Coll: (Alexandrine) Poem by DM W

The Isle Of Coll: (Alexandrine)

The Isle of Coll is the perfect place to just be
Its golden beaches seem to be woven from dreams.
Dewy drips glisten on the grass and wooden gates.
Wonder abounds, far from the relentless rat race
of modern life, and its myriad distractions.
Here I can be at one with tranquil emotions
And watch grazing sheep and the tide's gentle motion.
O I can forget any time- wasting notions!
At night, it provides delight for star-gazers and
For curious poetic types who understand,
That Nature will reveal all Her secrets to us,
If we just take the time to listen to the lush
Melodies of her songs across earth, sea and sky.
Then, we will know longer ask, for cold reasons why.
