The Journey Poem by Kay Barcelon

The Journey

Rating: 4.5

You play me like a guitar
Creating an inharmonic sound
The cadence is so bizarre
I don’t want you to be around

I miss you when you are gone
But when you finally show up
You make me feel withdrawn
A feeling I resist and abhor

You kept me far and distant
Avoiding the places I go
Your suggestions are fluent
You leave me in sorrow

With these in mind I would go
Leave you with the fantasies
That you came only to conquer
And I unselfishly shared

When you are unquestionably keen
Then you can call my name
The name is Caroline
But nothing will ever be the same

The way many relationships go. Hope it's not personal poem.
