The Journey Of The Car Poem by Paula Glynn

The Journey Of The Car

The car concept as far back as the horse and cart
Where ideas for an non-animal and internal engine did start
Knowing the axels of the wheels
And pistons brilliant ideas no one would steal
Needing some kind of fuel to rotate each of the four wheels.

The engine to replace the slow and mucky horse
Engineers working together to complete a design course
Knowing their design techniques wouldn't leave them hoarse
Pitching their genius car designs to engineering companies:
Companies still here today with now hybrid and electric cars.

These car companies true stars through the ups and downs
Even when designs throughout the decades and centuries
Changed and advanced, made safer for the public taking a chance
Passengers remembering crash test dummies
Calling for seatbelts to be issued in every single modern car.

The 21st century with clever electric cars
Cars that should go on any journey through miles: very far
Throughout the world and every successful economy
Even basic cars with easy safety features
And very comfortable and secure seats down streets.

Car companies in competition with each other
Designing and engineering different types of cars
Turning the world of technology upside down
The electric engine quiet: without a sound
Drivers going silently through every town.

Cars overtaking the planet:
Every country on earth with cars both near and far
Drivers feeling safe no matter where they are
Drivers knowing which direction they are going
These car companies smart and all-knowing.
