The Kingdom Of Dogs (6) Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

The Kingdom Of Dogs (6)

(Alberto Moravia)

By Freeyad Ibrahim

(Alberto Moravia) the famous Italian storyteller
His left leg was a little shorter than his right
he was limping
but his mind... was not limping at all
Bright

Alberto was a bad lover.
Most of Hollywood's beauties fell in love with him.
In the forefront of them is (Sophia Loren)
But Alberto responded
to these contemporary relations never

When he wrote his famous novel - Boredom
Elizabeth Taylor said that she had read it three times,
but did not understand
He responded to it with bitter sarcasm
Saying that the limits of her understanding
are not far from her feet
And if she strains herself more, complete
her understanding may reach the bottom of her stomach,
or retreat
While she is barely digesting, to eat! !
She also replied, openly and concrete:
What does this ugly gimp mean?
And her friends laughed and winked,
He interpreted it as mistreat.

He does not want to die in the manner of (Mozart)
He died young, and a debtor, destitute and poor
He died without anyone walking at his funeral
No one cared about him,
Not at the end, not at the start.

You do realize why Moravia
left most of his fortune to his Dogs?
Not left one cent to relatives & people
Perhaps he did not find fulfillment
Or true love except from Dogs
And he missed it in people
