The Kingdom Of Dogs (7) Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

The Kingdom Of Dogs (7)

By Freeyad Ibrahim

RAPE

She was called Rape
followed by ten dogs
Ugly berserkers without hair
Stinky mouths, suspicious shape
She gave a kick in their buttocks from time to time
Everytime her facial features changed
In agitation and fury, nasty and slime
She had changed her name
From Rose to Rape
I invited her to my house
One day, after the consent of my spouse
To find out the truth about this strange behavior
Maybe I became her rescuer, her saviour
I asked her the reason for the name
Was it serious or just a game
She answered me shamelessly
Giving all humans around bitter blames
Her name matched her rapists' names:
My stepfather raped me when I was 7 years old
My uncle raped me when I was 10 years old
My cousin raped me when I was 12 years old
My second uncle raped me when I was 13 years old
My cousin raped me when I was 14 years old
My boss raped me when I was 16 years old
My own bastard son's friend raped me when I was 17
My neighbor's son raped me when I was 18 years old
My nephew raped me when I was 19 years old
Finally, my stepbrother raped me when I was 20
who I lived in his house, sheltered

Now you see me living alone in my house
No work for me, they call me a a commercial whore
A name so dirty, stabs my heart to the core
I go out with the dogs every day
to satisfy myself, there is no other way
I call them by the names of the rapists
Whenever I remember the face and the name
of one of the then, I give a kick to his ass
I kick their names, give excuses, alas
This gives me some psychological comfort
And reassurance
And security
And self-confidence
Chases away discomfort
*
It is astonishingly and unfortunately a real story
I met her in my first village, stupified
I met and recognized her in my daily walk
Where I heard the details of the story
ٍStupified, Shocked and Terrified!
