The Lagos Lady (Part 1) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Lagos Lady (Part 1)

Rating: 5.0

Ubiquitous like the air
And competes with the taxi in speed
Is the Lagos lady

Born black, now coloured
A bitter kola in taste and sound
Always imagining and acting
And never her true self
Is the Lagos lady.
