The Lagos Lady (Part 2) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Lagos Lady (Part 2)

She was cultured yesterday in the village
Today civilized and modern in the ways of Lagos
She has an adhesive palm
Only short of a kleptomaniac
And deserves award for beautiful lies
A chameleon even to close friend.
