The Last Song Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

The Last Song

Rating: 3.5

You are the last thing
You are the last being
I will say goodbye
You mean too much to me
Those words streamed in tears
Her world crumbled before her
And her dreams faded out
She lost her love
To the cold arms of death
Her song was not long
She needed no chorus
Nor an orchestra
Not even a band
Her roles were all in one
In sorrow and sadness
She was weeping out the song
The last song!
