The Last Time 2 Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Last Time 2

Rating: 4.0

A mother brought her daughter to me and said:
'Teacher! Should i send my daughter to the U. S. A.?
Because, you taughte her and, you know her status'.
Then, i answered: 'Yes, please; your daughter is very brilliant and,
Can do better with her intelligence in the U. S. A.'
So, the woman listened to me and sent her daughter to the U. S. A.;
To further her studies.
Years later, this same woman came to me once again and,
Gave me the phone number of her daughter in the U. S. A.;
To call her and advice her with her studies at school.
I did call the line and another girl (her roommate) picked up the phone;
She promised me to hand over the phone to the Rich Woman's Daughter!
However, to my surprise! ! I heard her on the line telling her roommate that,
She doesn't want to speak with me;
So, her roommate followed her orders and told me that, she's not around!
I said: 'Thank you'; and, that was the last time i used the line.
Activity, connectivity!
Life is like that at times;
However, i will always do my best to help others.
