The Leader Poem by John A'Hern

The Leader

Dreams frequently challenge my understanding
Who are all these people that gather?
They appear to know me that is the problem
More adventures than I can imagine
I always lead this rag taggle throng
Decisions made and broken so confusing
My name it is called quite often
Other are nameless despite my actions
Tossing turning enough of all the interaction
Drift back asleep chapter two is starting
Challenges come thick and fast
Almost succeed then start again
Who are you where are you from?
Are you sent to trouble my sleep?
No answers forthcoming
Lots of advice, all care no responsibility taken
Just last night a shout so loud
I awoke, it was my own voice shouting
maybe needing a dream whisperer
Just hold my nerve and lead with fervour
