The Learned People Will Do The Virtuous Activities When They Are Young! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

By seeing a few leaves tied along the fragrant flowers
in the flowery garland tied around the hands of the person,

who acts the play of aggressive show as if the power
of the God has descended on him followed by the act
of goat sacrifice to get something done for their favor,

The goat, unaware of the fact that its head is going to be cut,
eats the freshly sprouted leaves for a short time happily!

But, the learned people will not give importance
for the short living happiness of the ‘unstable youthfulness'
that does not extend but for a short period!

Hence, the learned people will do the virtuous activities
To their level best instead of wasting their time
As and when they are young and active without delay!
