The Lesson In The Mistake Poem by Temperance Joy

The Lesson In The Mistake

A dream interrupted, a love not shown.
Leads to the pain I fear has grown.
Nothing can stop me cause no one will see,
The pain and guilt my past has brought me.
The only way to solve this newly felt issue,
Is to apologize and show how much I miss you.
Yet you know that I'm sorry and you know that I care,
But you still sit and watch and think that it's fair.
While I punish myself for breaking your heart.
Before I knew it, my life fell apart.
Into small pieces swept into piles.
And soon after that I'd lost all the smiles
You seem umeffected as i sit here and cry
And with each day that passes it seams I'm less real.
Because no one will see the pain i always feel
It's a part of me now and won't go away
Never again will I throw love away
For you showed me how to finish the day
Wait out eh problem watch it get better
Knoing this now will help me forever.
