I wanted to give up
I wanted to leave everyone behind
Join the souls of no return
Embrace the darkness that is death
I felt that i had no place among the living
Take my last breath and be gone forever was my wish

Then by some miracle I found HIM
I was oblivious that i had in fact been blessed
Thinking he was just a NOW
No future was to be planned
But destiny had other intentions
Fate stepped in and all was changed
He became my love, my future, my dream come true, my reason for waking

No longer do i feel weary of life
My daily burdens lessened
Purpose of my being has arisen
Towards the light of beauty which is love i run
Every breath i inhale deeply
Each day i cherish whole heartedly

Because of my Adoring latino soldier I awake with a smile
Because of his constant show of adulation I daydream of tomorrow
Because he chose to dedicate himeself to our love I see worth in myself
Because of his advocacy I know all is not lost

He acts as my guide
Showing me the way to euphoria
Leading me to a new beginning
Away from all that is dark and bitter
Repudiating sadness and feelings of estrangement
Guiding me to a life with laughter
A life with love

He is my miracle, my heart and soul, my vitality, My light among the darkness
He is my north star
