The Lion And The Lamb Poem by cheryl davis miller

The Lion And The Lamb

I dreamed last night of a whimsical land
where the lion laid down with the lamb.
The people joined together hand in hand
and the lion laid down with the lamb.

My heart cried out, ' Oh why can it not be,
more than a lovely dream in the night? '
Where the left joins right in the warm sunlight;
and the lion lies down with the lamb.

We've taken sides in this circle of life
as the war continues round and round.
Driven on by our common enemy
so the lion rages at the lamb.

I dreamed last night of a whimsical land
where the lion laid down with the lamb.
The people joined together hand in hand
and the lion laid down with the lamb.
