The Lockdown Poem by Ojok Isaac

The Lockdown

I woke from my bed
Amazed to be alive
Raised up my head
And prayed to God

I turned my house
To a studium
Run north and south
And jumped and stretched

It's not easy
Children need food
"Shut up tell daisy
I'm not your mom"

It's a lockdown
Nothing must go like before
Just check my account
Money is no more

Use what we have
Talk to the kids
We shall kill dove
And eat it for lunch
