The loneliest tear trickles down
A forgotten smile turns to a frown
Rolling slowly down the cheek
I cant let it make me weak

The loneliest tear escapes
A lifetime of bitter mistakes
A sad and lonely heart
That others had broke apart

The loneliest tear is starting to dry
For so many nights I had cried
A friend reached out their hand
And tried to understand

The loneliest tear has now gone
And I find life will carry on
With love from a friend
