The Lost Cause Poem by Matthew Rousseau

The Lost Cause

Rating: 5.0

The lost cause
the child of depression
he sits alone
writes by himself
stops half way through
and notices the tear dropp on the paper
he wipes his eyes
and continues writing
its all he knows
hes all alone
he thinks its forvever and ever
but it gets better
little does he know
life goes on
and it ends
he has to enjoy
every last second
but its so hard!
to ignore the hate around him
how everyone hates him
talks about him
and ignores him
he is in elementry school
he thinks about death
and life
the contradiction
and he finds himself
moves onward
because life gets better
he believes it
no longer is he a lost cause
he found himself
he found his motivation
he will never give up happiness
no longer is he a lost cause
