The Love For A Daughter Poem by Matthew Roeser

The Love For A Daughter

I look at you
With your petunia eyes
And candy ribbon mouth
A smile like the first snow
Rejoicing dance footed
Drawn like cradles
Candled to the winds
While paper cranes follow you
Watching to see if they can learn
The mystery of your becoming

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
