The man of light,
A vagrant, goes door to door,
Begging pearls of wisdom
to feed his soul.
At night, he halts at a door
Where beams of light proclaim:
The sage inside is waiting.
He pauses, hands cupped,
To receive alms of wisdom's pearls.
Drawing words from the eternal stream,
He writes and recites in silence,
Blotting ignorance from the page.
In the sage's mirror,
Deep within darklight,
He glimpses a forgotten truth,
Perhaps the covenant of Alast.
The man of light gathers
The divine wisdom spoken to him,
Crafting a bouquet of poems—
Each verse scattering light,
Erasing myths shrouding truth.
