The Marvelous 4th Poem by Akachukwu Lekwauwa

The Marvelous 4th

Were today not my birthday,
It would've been a bad day;
The good of it, nobody should bar me
Glorious summer in Washington,
Marvelous spring in my backyard.
Life's divine comedy plays on,
Not one fathomed by Dante
But as Wilde will have it
Whether the comedy goes wild,
Or the tragedy goes viral
We shall make the fireworks meet the sky

A very contemplative kind of poem, reflecting on your life and then life in general with asides to Oscar Wilde and Dante. Impressive.
