The Merciful God! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Merciful God!

Rating: 5.0

You read the myths and tales for pleasure.
When you from work have some leisure.
Seek not God in the holy books of man-made treasure
When He abounds in nature in abundant measure.

God would not inspire to make the killing bombs
And no one in His thought or deed He harms.
See Him smiling in the waving crops in farms
And in lending hand to the poor Himself He warms.

The fools take arms for Him to carve out a world
And the narrow starving minds they mould
To wear the suicide belt and trigger it with a heart cold
And give the families of the dead, some gold.

God wants not this useless sacrifice
Or to grow in young minds the poisonous malice
To kill the people living with some human ties.
Why you nurture wild thoughts in your mind so nice?
