The Mightiness Of God! Poem by Denis Martindale

When God created things to be across both time and space,
He gave all things their destiny, their purpose to embrace.
Life could not thrive without the Lord since He chose each design,
No wonder Man gets overawed at all truths thought divine.
Yet God planned more and far ahead for planets far away,
As through the Milky Way, they sped, and even to this day.
On seeing great signs in the sky, wise men, of course, take note,
They strive to learn the reasons why, beyond what prophets wrote.

Can Man ignore his destiny to travel far from Earth,
While telescopes help him to see Man's future still has worth?
Beyond the solar system's stars are wonders great and small,
Surpassing Jupiter and Mars, each one a miracle.
As if to tell Mankind God cares beyond all we could know,
That He is worthy of Man's prayers as each through life must go.
God grants more than this life alone as Heaven's angels sing,
While God is seated on His Throne, with more life still to bring.

At His command, the dead get raised, a second chance received,
And some in Heaven will get placed and praise God they believed.
The Holy Bible shares God's Word and tells us of God's Son,
And says through Him our faith gets stirred, Who prayed, 'Thy will be done! '
Christ shed His blood to pay the cost that we might praise the Lord,
Enough to die to save the lost, so sinners get restored.
Yet saints have good works still to do, upon this Earth Christ trod,
Relying on what sees us through, the mightiness of God!
