The Minions (Avon Calling!) Poem by Elizabeth Sheaffer

The Minions (Avon Calling!)

Hide yourself in your fear
Satan beckons you closer, 'Come.'
Into the depths of Hell you peer
Chasing memories down a gravel road
Sunlight breaks your train of thought
Reality comes back, shattering dreams
in the wake of a sunburst
Moonbeams peer through the window
Watching over you in your fitful rest
Caressing your smooth skin and
Shimmering on your eyelashes
Glimmering on a face torn asunder
By passionate dreams of hate and despair
Revealing all the emotions you kept inside when you
Hid yourself inside your fear
As Satan beckoned you closer, 'Come.'
Into the depths of Hell you peered
Satan's minions upward, jeered
'Join us; we will end all pain.'
