The mirage of thought—
Many believe they are thinking,
yet only shuffle illusions like cards,
prejudices masked as truth,
stitched into fragile tapestries of belief.
Bound by ignorance, we erect towers upon shifting sands,
blind to their inevitable fall,
deaf to the whispers of the eternal.
To see the world with unclouded eyes,
release the certainties of shadows—
step into the golden breath of dawn
where illusions dissolve in light's embrace.
The past, brittle as autumn leaves,
returns to the earth, forgotten.
In the present, the infinite unfurls;
and fear, a phantom, dissolves
in the quiet grace of being.
Our lives, islands adrift in boundless seas,
stand apart only in perception's mirage.
Beneath the surface, the ocean whispers—
its depths unite the shores we see as separate.
Or like trees in a murmuring forest,
maple and pine exchange their secrets,
roots entwined in unseen communion,
the silent web of life and connection.
No belief is too absurd
for fractured minds to cradle it as truth;
even the flames of folly are cherished,
though they devour the hands that hold them.
Time, indifferent yet alive,
shapes and reveals the quiet truth
that waits within the stillness of being.
To kill time is no mere act of destruction—
it is the slow death of meaning,
a quiet betrayal of what we could become.
In the fracture, we wander—
hearts splintered by belief's cold hand,
seeking solace in the very walls
that keep us apart.
Yet, the ocean embraces us still,
each wave a whisper of eternal grace,
each breath a hymn to the whole.
Let us rise beyond this illusory dance,
peel back the veils of our own making.
The real, eternal flame awaits,
its silent warmth softening the frost
of what we thought was truth.
I see now—there is no "I" apart from the whole.
I am the ocean,
the forest, the light eternal.
