The Mirror Speaks The Truth Poem by Sankaranarayanan Madavu

The Mirror Speaks The Truth

Rating: 5.0

I had a feeling, I am still handsome
But the mirror shattered all my esteem.
Before me stood an old man,
his hair white, face wrinkled and eyes misty.
But my inner sense consoled me,
whispering into my deaf ears,
telling me to think of others who are old and sick,
unable to stand on their own legs.
Thank God, I have not reached that stage, for sure.

Insightful train of thought, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. We shall all come to see what we must see, when the time comes. Thanks for sharing Sankaranarayana. Please read my poem POETIC MASTETPIECE.
