The Mouse And The Rat Poem by Tawanda Mtunzie

The Mouse And The Rat

Rating: 1.0

The mouse is very popular Everyone loves him He is friends with the rat, But not for long so

Betrayal shall show its way Through the veins of the rat, Peeping inside the mouse`s hut where nuts are kept.

He makes it a fuss Being chased away from the hut, Not because of hatred from the mouse But because of his dishonest

He seeks refuge in an abyss. Where he finds friends, Friends which whom also now hate the mouse.

They form a gang. A gang to attack the mouse, The mouse is removed from his special home, Not only by the gang but also a march of everyone.

The mouse is left alone, With his family they leave for good never to return. The rat is left with everything, The house in particular.
