Thousand Miles Away Poem by Tawanda Mtunzie

Thousand Miles Away

Rating: 5.0

Deep down memories are starting to fade away,
Winters we spent together seems are here to stay
Thinking about the best days we had, l start to pray
For you to come back and l be the prey.

Death proves to be a difficult story to tell,
For you have gone to a better place than hell.
My heart pounces back in fear,
Every time l think about you and Death is near.

Tears fall down from thy eyes,
Every time l think about those days.
l miss those weekends we used to play.
It seemed like you were here to stay

Pap, you had promised to teach me games,
Games that you used to enjoy.
It seems like those dreams have gone away
For you have gone a Thousand Miles Away.
