The Music I Hear, More Than Mere Notes Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Music I Hear, More Than Mere Notes

The music I hear, more than mere notes,
The light I receive, more than sustenance's gift;
Now, in Your presence, no void remains,
The beauty that once adorned creation, still unfaded.

Your touch graces my surfaces and my depths,
Your hands hold my vessel, and all others, with grace.
These vessels, without a strum, stand resonating,
Your essence lingers, an invisible presence.

In my heart, You walk, playing the familiar tune,
The melody I first heard from You on the day of Alast,
Imbuing me with Your light, Your gentle touch;
In my heart, Your echoes remain, never ceasing,
A testament to the time I knew You—wise, beautiful—
Being my essence, now and always.
