The Mystic Finds Himselfin God's Truth Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

The Mystic Finds Himselfin God's Truth

Rating: 5.0

The infinite absolute
cannot be grasped
or bound by
human intelligence.

In a mystical experience,
the division
between subject
and object disappears.
One does not look
at God as an object
and one does not look
at oneself as an object.

The man who knows God
in the full biblical
and mystical sense
loses interest in divine
or self-objectification.

The mystic seeks to gain
a direct existential grasp,
a personal experience
of the deepest truths
of life and faith,
finding oneself in God's truth.
