The Nakedness Of Being Naked Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Nakedness Of Being Naked

Nakedness covers
nothing
never hides
but it abides
where there is truth
there cannot dwell lies
Nakedness covers
nothing
it is transparent
it is crystal clear
it is a house
that stands
with its doors
wide open
it is what
it is
beautiful
or ugly
as it might be
Nakedness is
a state of mind
as well as
a state of being
A statue of stone
has no blood
has no warmth
in its body
just for people
and it is only
its nakedness
their eyes are seeing!
