The Night Poem by Ray Hansell

The Night

Rating: 5.0

I heard the crash of thunder
As it woke up the night
I sat up in bed
Saw the flashing of the light

As the bolts of lightening
Split the mid-night sky
It looked like daylight
Being brought alive

The pounding of the rain
So constant and true
Pounds like my heart
Every time I think of you

Great sense of drama comparing rain beat to heart beat to thunder! Great poem about sound!
