The Obvious To Claim Found Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

The Obvious To Claim Found

You may read and examine,
Words I have chosen.
Specifically and simply picked.
To describe a moment,
Coming to go.
And doing this quick.
None have double meanings.
Or together express,
Something deeper to discover...
Under the surface.
Searched to reveal,
A finding found to claim...
An intention to expect.

Yet...
After your examination.
Thoroughly microscoped.
From side to side.
And backwards done.
You will still be left to think,
Of me to be more than a poet.
And this to perceive,
You would be right to believe.
Since I have lived to acquire,
A variety of interests.
Tunnel visioned I am not.

How about you?
Do you live your life,
Under or probing...
Through a microscope?
Or...
Do you live to adventure.
And explore your blessed life.
Ignoring to be scoped.
Profiled by those assigned.
Finding no time to live,
Their own lives to do this.
Too curious and inquisitive,
They have been.
Living their nights and days,
Hoping to uncover to others...
The obvious to claim it found!
