The Ocean's Despair Poem by Rahma Rayis

The Ocean's Despair

Rating: 4.3

The site of the sea was a tangled mess,
the water filled with waste and the clarity over the years had grown less,
the sea sings its sorrowful song,
to it, the pollution would last long,
it did not know where it would lead,
the surviving sea lost its colourful bead,
the jem, the heart was missing from its nest,
people tried to save it to their utmost best,
though others lost their kindness and love,
it's all in the air,
now, changes had to be made quick,
because sadly the ocean is growing sick.

It is the human beings, who are supposed to be endowed with power to discern good from the evil, that pollute and vitiate the environment. Especially the oceans, making them unliveable for its normal flora and fauna. Man needs to mend his ways.
