He sat alone in his old rocking chair
Looking out the window
Slowly rocking and faintly hearing
The creaking of the floor.
Outside, the people are walking hurriedly home
And their shadows tailing from behind
The old man looking cannot remember
Those times when he was there walking.
He sees only the growing shadows
And wondered why he was alone
Sitting in his old rocking chair
Thinking of his old forsaken dreams.
The old man is slowly rocking
Beside the window of his empty house
Dreaming that he was also walking
But not hurried like before.

An excellent imagery drawn through the four stanzas of the poem. The last stanza is simply superb! 10/10.
